Abstract
A recent article in the British Medical Journal1 on globalization and health stirred quite a debate among readers. In the article, the author argues that globalization is beneficial to health. To pharmacists, an obvious offshoot from
this debate is the relationship between globalization and the practice of pharmacy worldwide. In this opinion, we argue that globalization may be more harmful than beneficial to pharmacy, particularly in the less developed countries.
